The St. James Sharks basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Sumter Gamecocks to 35 in the Sharks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sharks now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carolina Forest for a AAAAA Region 5 contest on Thursday, February 8. St. James will meet a Panthers team coming off a 68-63 league loss to Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 4-16.

The Gamecocks (11-13) will now prepare for their contest against Conway (Conway, SC). The Tigers enter the AAAAA Region 5 contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, Conway ran past Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC), 42-37, in a league contest.
