West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 50-41 in a league bout.

With the win, West Cabarrus upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Wolverines host Mooresville (Mooresville, NC) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 4A Greater Metro bout on Friday, February 9. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-17. Mooresville lost 45-39 in their recent league bout against South Iredell (Statesville, NC)

Next up, the Wonders clash with the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a 4A Greater Metro bout, on Friday, February 9. A.L. Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 7-14 record after their 45-39 league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC).
