The Altoona Railroaders (Altoona, WI) basketball felled the host St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI), 52-36 in Tuesday's league test.

The Railroaders (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Somerset (Somerset, WI). The Spartans go into the Middle Border test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Somerset went down by Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI), 46-34, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Amery for a Middle Border test on Friday, February 9. St. Croix Central will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 54-39 league loss to Prescott (Prescott, WI). The Warriors record now stands at 8-13.
