Virginia High School Basketball - Amherst County nipped by Rustburg

The Rustburg Red Devils tipped the visiting Amherst County Lancers basketball team by a final score of 40-35 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Red Devils face the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) in a Seminole game, on Friday, February 9. Rustburg will attempt to move on its 11-9 season record. The Minutemen enter the game with a 14-5 record after their 58-45 league win over Heritage (Lynchburg, VA).

With the defeat, Amherst County moves to 7-13 on the year. The Lancers host Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA) to face the Cavaliers in a Seminole game on Friday, February 9.
