The Amherst Falcons basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds to 29 in the Falcons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wittenberg-Birnamwood for a Central Wisconsin - East contest on Friday, February 9. Amherst will battle a Chargers team coming off a 66-47 league win over Menominee Indian (Keshena, WI). The Chargers record now stands at 19-2.

The Thunderbirds (0-22) will now prepare for their contest against Shiocton (Shiocton, WI). The Chiefs enter the Central Wisconsin - East contest with a 5-17 record. In their last contest, Shiocton was routed by Manawa (Manawa, WI), 45-38, in a league contest.
