Colorado High School Basketball - Thornton nips Aurora Central

Thornton Trojans (Thornton, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Aurora Central Trojans (Aurora, CO), 44-39 in a league bout.
With the victory, Thornton upgrades its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Skyview (Thornton, CO) to play the Wolverines in a 5A/4A Colorado bout on Thursday, February 8. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 16-4. Skyview won 59-13 in their recent league battle against Gateway (Aurora, CO)
The Trojans (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Regis Groff (Denver, CO). The Fusion come into the non-league battle with a 9-8 record. In their last battle, Regis Groff was nudged by Vista PEAK Prep (Aurora, CO), 67-38, in a league battle.
