Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY), 60-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bryan Station upgrades its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to Henry Clay (Lexington, KY) to play the Blue Devils in a District 42 bout on Friday, February 9. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 16-7. Henry Clay won 52-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Scott County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a 20-2 record after their 59-56 league loss to Martin County (Inez, KY).
