Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA), 69-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Carver upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Tigers host Dougherty (Albany, GA) to play the Trojans in a AAA Region 1 bout on Friday, February 9. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 14-10. Dougherty won 57-30 in their recent league bout against Thomasville (Thomasville, GA)

Next up, the Golden Tornadoes play the Columbus Blue Devils (Columbus, GA) in a AAA Region 1 bout, on Friday, February 9. Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 9-15 record after their 47-40 league win over Crisp County (Cordele, GA).
