Maurepas Wolves (Maurepas, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Christ Episcopal School Wildcats (Covington, LA), 39-7 in a league bout.

With the win, Maurepas upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Wolves host Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 18-9. Covenant Christian Academy lost 39-32 in their recent league bout against Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets (Mt. Hermon, LA) in a B District 7 bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Christ Episcopal School will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 62-37 non-league loss to Pearl River (Pearl River, LA).
