Louisiana High School Basketball - Covenant Christian Academy can't hold off Highland Baptist Christian

The Highland Baptist Christian Bears basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Covenant Christian Academy Lions to 32 in the Bears league victory on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jeanerette for a 1A District 7 contest on Friday, February 9. Highland Baptist Christian will battle a Tigers team coming off a 46-42 league loss to Vermilion Catholic (Abbeville, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-13.
The Lions (18-9) will now prepare for their contest against Maurepas (Maurepas, LA). The Wolves come into the non-league contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Maurepas edged Christ Episcopal School (Covington, LA), 39-7, in a league contest.
