In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Hancock County Indians (Sneedville, TN), by a margin of 65-15.
The Panthers (16-8) will now prepare for their outing against Grainger (Rutledge, TN). The Grizzlies go into the non-league outing with a 10-15 record. In their last outing, Grainger smashed Cherokee (Rogersville, TN), 53-12, in a league outing.
The Indians now own a 2-17 record. They play next when they travel to Washburn for a 1A District 2 outing on Friday, February 9. Hancock County will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 46-42 non-league win over Unaka (Elizabethton, TN). The Pirates record now stands at 18-4.
