Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), 47-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Kuemper upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Knights travel to East Sac County (Lake View, IA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 8-13. East Sac County won 51-47 in their recent league bout against South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA)

Next up, the Monarchs play the AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 48-35 league loss to Tri-Center (Neola, IA).
