The Surrattsville Hornets basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Douglass Eagles to 41 in the Hornets league victory on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gwynn Park for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest on Friday, February 9. Surrattsville will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 80-12 league win over Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 15-5.

The Eagles (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against International High School at Largo (Largo, MD). The Sea Turtles come into the Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, International High School at Largo dropped by Crossland (Temple Hills, MD), 48-9, in a non-league contest.
