Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC), 59-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Southwestern Randolph upgrades its record to 19-3 on the season. The Cougars host Wheatmore (Trinity, NC) to play the Warriors in a 1A/2A Piedmont bout on Friday, February 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Wheatmore won 42-41 in their recent league bout against Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Graham Red Devils (Graham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Eastern Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 58-17 league loss to Northwood (Pittsboro, NC).
