With the victory, Portal improves its record to 9-14 on the campaign. The Panthers host Jenkins County (Millen, GA) to confront the War Eagles in a A D2 Region 3 challenge on Friday, February 9. The War Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Jenkins County won 43-31 in their recent league challenge against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Emanuel County Institute will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 21-1 record after their 61-44 non-league win over Claxton (Claxton, GA).
