Missouri High School Basketball - Grundy County can't hold off Winston

The Winston Red Birds basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Grundy County Panthers to 44 in the Red Birds non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Birds now sport a 6-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grundy County/Newtown-Harris for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Winston will battle a Panthers team coming off a 59-52 non-league win over Gilman City (Gilman City, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 13-7.
The Panthers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mercer (Mercer, MO). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 18-2 record. In their last contest, Mercer nudged Tri-County (Jamesport, MO), 46-20, in a league contest.
