Illinois High School Basketball - Wilmington knocked off by Herscher

The Herscher Tigers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Wilmington Wildcats to 35 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 9-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clifton Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Herscher will battle a Comets team coming off a 62-38 league win over Grant Park (Grant Park, IL). The Comets record now stands at 15-15.

The Wildcats (9-19) will now prepare for their contest against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 13-15 record. In their last contest, Reed-Custer was defeated by Lisle (Lisle, IL), 52-41, in a league contest.
