St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 52-32 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Pius X upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Sartans travel to Belen (Belen, NM) to play the Eagles in a 4A District 5 bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-13. Belen lost 54-42 in their recent league bout against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM)

Next up, the Hornets play the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-14 record after their 64-34 league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM).
