North Carolina High School Basketball - Hoke County overwhelms Southern Lee

February 6, 2024: Raeford, NC 28376

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) and the visiting Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC), saw Hoke County's basketball squad wallop Southern Lee by a count of 57-18.

With the victory, Hoke County upgrades its record to 4-16 on the campaign. The Bucks host Union Pines (Cameron, NC) to play the Vikings in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge on Friday, February 9. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Union Pines lost 72-37 in their recent league challenge against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Ascend Leadership Aviators (Sanford, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 12. Southern Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Aviators come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 65-20 league loss to River Mill (Graham, NC).
