In Tuesday's league outing, the Jefferson Lions (Jefferson, OR) basketball squad edged the visiting Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), by a count of 42-38.

The Lions (20-1) will now prepare for their outing against Amity (Amity, OR). The Warriors go into the 3A PacWest outing with a 19-3 record. In their last outing, Amity held off Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR), 51-33, in a league outing.

The Tigers now hold a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Scio for a 3A PacWest outing on Friday, February 9. Taft will clash with a Loggers squad coming off a 43-29 league loss to Dayton (Dayton, OR). The Loggers record now stands at 4-18.
