The Washburn Rural Blues basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Junction City/St. Xavier Bluejays to 11 in the Blues non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blues now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hayden for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Washburn Rural will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 44-32 non-league loss to Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-2.
The Bluejays (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Manhattan (Manhattan, KS). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Manhattan triumphed over Topeka (Topeka, KS), 55-21, in a non-league contest.
