Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 38-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Kendrick upgrades its record to 4-20 on the season. The Cherokees travel to Jordan (Columbus, GA) to clash with the Red Jackets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Red Jackets go into the bout with a record of 8-16. Jordan won 51-46 in their recent league bout against Northeast (Macon, GA)

Next up, the Hurricanes clash with the Northeast Raiders (Macon, GA) in a AA Region 2 bout, on Friday, February 9. Rutland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-22 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 51-46 league loss to Jordan (Columbus, GA).
