The Sandburg Eagles basketball team (Orland Park, IL), was overwhelmed 54-25 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL)
The Griffins now possess a 24-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plainfield South for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 8. Lincoln-Way East will confront a Cougars team coming off a 54-45 league win over Joliet Central (Joliet, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 20-9.
The Eagles (17-13) will now prepare for their battle against Oswego East (Oswego, IL). The Wolves come into the non-league battle with a 15-12 record. In their last battle, Oswego East trounced Yorkville (Yorkville, IL), 57-52, in a league battle.
