Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry Saukees (Pittsfield, IL), 47-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mendon Unity upgrades its record to 16-12 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Central/Southeastern (Camp Point, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a West Central - North bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 24-2. Central/Southeastern won 69-52 in their recent league bout against Hamilton (West Hancock, IL)

Next up, the Saukees clash with the Illini West Chargers (Carthage, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 16-14 record after their 40-28 non-league win over Seymour (Payson, IL).
