New York High School Basketball - Schalmont thwarts Mohonasen

The Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Mohonasen Warriors (Schenectady, NY), 50-34 in Tuesday's league test.
The Sabres (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Catholic Central (Troy, NY). The Crusaders go into the Section 2 Colonial test with a 16-1 record. In their last test, Catholic Central notched a victory over Broadalbin-Perth (Broadalbin, NY), 74-44, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Albany Academy for Girls for a Section 2 Colonial test on Thursday, February 8. Mohonasen will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 72-53 league win over Academy of the Holy Names (Albany, NY). The Bears record now stands at 13-3.
