Palmyra Panthers (Palmyra, MO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO), 50-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Palmyra upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bowling Green (Bowling Green, MO) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 3-16. Bowling Green lost 51-37 in their recent league bout against Elsberry (Elsberry, MO)

Next up, the Panthers play the Centralia Panthers (Centralia, MO) in a Clarence Cannon bout, on Friday, February 9. Monroe City will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 66-24 league win over Macon (Macon, MO).
