Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pendleton County Wildcat (Franklin, WV), 48-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Moorefield upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV) to play the Warriors in a Potomac Valley bout on Thursday, February 8. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Pocahontas County lost 46-44 in their recent league bout against East Hardy (Baker, WV)

Next up, the Wildcat play the Union Tigers (Mount Storm, WV) in a Potomac Valley bout, on Friday, February 9. Pendleton County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 65-16 league win over Harman (Harman, WV).
