The Park Rapids Panthers basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Staples-Motley Cardinals to 44 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aitkin for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Park Rapids will battle a Gobblers team coming off a 91-34 league loss to Crosby-Ironton (Crosby, MN). The Gobblers record now stands at 3-18.
The Cardinals (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN). The Lakers enter the non-league contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Detroit Lakes triumphed over Fergus Falls (Fergus Falls, MN), 46-43, in a league contest.
