The Royal Valley Panthers basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Perry-Lecompton Kaws to 34 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson West for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7. Royal Valley will battle a Tigers team coming off a 49-35 non-league loss to Holton (Holton, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 6-9.

The Kaws (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Sabetha (Sabetha, KS). The Bluejays enter the non-league contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Sabetha was nudged by Nemaha Central (Seneca, KS), 51-20, in a non-league contest.
