Kansas High School Basketball - Stanton County overwhelms Springfield

February 6, 2024: Johnson, KS 67855

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Stanton County Trojans (Johnson, KS) and the visiting Springfield Longhorns (Springfield, CO), saw Stanton County's basketball squad wallop Springfield by a tally of 59-38.

With the victory, Stanton County improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Wichita County (Leoti, KS) to confront the Indians in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 16-0.

Next up, the Longhorns confront the Walsh Eagles (Walsh, CO) in a 1A Arkansas Valley challenge, on Friday, February 9. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 80-17 non-league loss to Boise City (Boise City, OK).
