Iowa High School Basketball - Underwood can't hold off Treynor

The Treynor Cardinals basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Underwood Eagles to 40 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martensdale-St. Mary's for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Treynor will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 64-24 non-league loss to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 14-6.
The Eagles (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Shenandoah (Shenandoah, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Shenandoah nudged Red Oak (Red Oak, IA), 84-35, in a league contest.
