The Venus Bulldogs held off the visiting Godley Wildcats soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Tuesday's league match.
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Ferris for a 4A Region 1 District 6 match on Friday, February 9. Venus will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Kennedale (Kennedale, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Godley drops to 3-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX) to encounter the Mustangs in a 4A Region 1 District 6 match on Friday, February 9. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 15-2. Life Waxahachie won 7-1 in their recent league match against Alvarado (Alvarado, TX)
