Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Amelia County upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season.

Next up, the Knights play the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Buckingham will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 63-32 non-league loss to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA).
