Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), 56-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Burns upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 0-14.
Next up, the Gryphons clash with the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 59-49 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
