West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX), 50-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Oso upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Ingleside (Ingleside, TX) to play the Mustangs in a bout on Friday, February 9. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Sandcrabs play the Jones Trojans (Beeville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Calhoun will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 43-25 league loss to West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX).
