Cheltenham Panthers (Wyncote, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA), 49-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cheltenham upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season.

Next up, the Spartans play the Wissahickon Trojans (Ambler, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Springfield Township will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
