Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lancaster Red Devils (Lancaster, VA), 35-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Essex upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to Middlesex (Saluda, VA) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Middlesex won 33-30 in their recent non-league bout against West Point (West Point, VA)

Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Lancaster will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Drifters go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 61-34 non-league loss to West Point (West Point, VA).
