Virginia High School Basketball - Hopewell can't hold off Petersburg

The Petersburg Crimson Wave basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Hopewell Blue Devils to 52 in the Crimson Wave non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Crimson Wave now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Colonial Heights for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Petersburg will battle a Colonials team coming off a 58-39 non-league loss to Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA). The Colonials record now stands at 8-6.
The Blue Devils (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Thomas Dale nudged Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA), 35-32, in a non-league contest.
