The Black Cats now sport a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to C.H. Yoe for a 4A Region 3 District 23 test on Friday, February 9. Mexia will meet a Yoemen squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to La Vega (Waco, TX). The Yoemen record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Marlin drops to 2-8 on the season. The Bulldogs host Hearne (Hearne, TX) to meet the Eagles in a 4A Region 3 District 23 test on Friday, February 9. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-6. Hearne lost 5-0 in their recent league test against Robinson (Robinson, TX)
