The Alak Huskies (Wainwright, AK) basketball crushed the host Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), 52-30 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Huskies now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kodiak for a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. Alak will play a Bears team coming off a 49-38 league loss to Wasilla (Wasilla, AK). The Bears record now stands at 2-9.
With the loss, Houston falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK) to play the Nanooks in a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. The Nanooks go into the bout with a record of 14-0. Nome-Beltz won 106-58 in their recent league bout against Kotzebue (Kotzebue, AK)
