In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Pine Grove Panthers basketball team scored a close 64-59 triumph over the Ashland Blue Devils.
The Panthers (17-9) will now prepare for their contest against Falkner (Falkner, MS). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Falkner nipped Byers (Holly Springs, MS), 63-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Coffeeville Pirates (Coffeeville, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Ashland will attempt to better on its 10-17 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 18-6 record after their 72-41 non-league win over Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS).
