In Thursday's league contest, the visiting International Academy Phoenix basketball team scored a big 70-26 win over the Atherton Wolverines.

The Phoenix (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against New Standard Academy (Flint, MI). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, New Standard Academy smashed Bendle (Burton, MI), 70-53, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Bentley Bulldogs (Burton, MI) in a Genesee Area - Red contest, on Monday, February 10. Atherton will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 13-6 record after their 85-40 non-league win over Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI).
