In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Rapid River Rockets basketball team scored a good 62-44 triumph over the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears.
The Rockets (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Munising (Munising, MI). The Mustangs go into the Central Upper Peninsula contest with a 15-2 record.
In their next game, the Black Bears confront the Mid Peninsula Wolverines (Rock, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Big Bay de Noc will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 0-12 record after their 44-43 non-league loss to Engadine (Engadine, MI).
