In Thursday's league test, the Making Waves Academy Marlins (Richmond, CA) basketball squad defeated the host California School for the Deaf Eagles (Fremont, CA), by a final score of 65-54.
Next, the Marlins clash with the Oakland Military Institute Grizzlies (Oakland, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 7. Making Waves Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Grizzlies come into the test with a 6-13 record after their 86-35 non-league loss to St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo, CA).
The Eagles (2-18) will now prepare for their test against Redwood Christian (San Lorenzo, CA). The Eagles come into the Bay Counties - General test with a 22-3 record. In their last test, Redwood Christian overcame Making Waves Academy (Richmond, CA), 64-32, in a league test.
