The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the New Salem Holsteins (New Salem, ND) and the visiting Center-Stanton Wildcats (Center, ND), saw New Salem's basketball team crush Center-Stanton by a tally of 56-31.

The Holsteins now possess a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Beach for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 8. New Salem will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 49-43 league win over Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] (Bowman, ND). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Center-Stanton falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Garrison (Garrison, ND) to play the Troopers in a B District 8 bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Troopers go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Garrison won 61-49 in their recent league bout against White Shield (Roseglen, ND)
