The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Northwood Gators (Lena, LA) and the visiting Converse Wildcats (Converse, LA), observed Northwood's basketball team knock off Converse by a score of 43-25.

The Gators (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeview (Campti, LA). The Gators come into the 1A District 3 challenge with a 30-6 record. In their last challenge, Lakeview prevailed over Logansport (Logansport, LA), 67-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Converse will attempt to improve on its 10-35 season record. The Griffins come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 63-42 league loss to Woodlawn-Shreveport (Shreveport, LA).
