In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Port Huron Northern Huskies basketball team scored a good 66-55 win over the Dakota Cougars.
The Huskies (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hamady (Flint, MI). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Hamady defeated Morrice (Morrice, MI), 66-25, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the New Standard Academy Spartans (Flint, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 8. Dakota will attempt to better on its 11-9 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 70-53 league win over Bendle (Burton, MI).
