In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Sunbright Tigers basketball team scored a big 72-32 triumph over the Greenback Cherokees.

The Tigers (19-6) will now prepare for their contest against Coalfield (Coalfield, TN). The Yellow Jackets go into the 1A District 3 contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Coalfield was trounced by Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN), 55-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cherokees confront the Midway Green Wave (Kingston, TN) in a 1A District 4 contest, on Friday, February 7. Greenback will attempt to better on its 0-17 season record.
