The Abes (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Thornton (Harvey, IL). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 8-15 record. In their last challenge, Thornton was routed by Thornwood (South Holland, IL), 54-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the River Rouge Panthers (River Rouge, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 52-44 non-league win over Loyola (Detroit, MI).
