In Thursday's non-league test, the Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY) basketball squad defeated the host Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY), by a score of 88-75.

Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 7. Lawrence County will attempt to improve on its 16-7 season record. The Miners come into the test with a 3-11 record after their 85-67 non-league loss to Phelps (Phelps, KY).

The Hornets (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles come into the District 57 test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, Johnson Central overcame Paintsville (Paintsville, KY), 78-64, in a league test.
